Christopher Harborne, a British-Thai citizen and the largest individual shareholder in QinetiQ with a 13% stake (approximately 70.6 million shares valued at £360 million as of October 13, 2025), holds a position in a company formed with American funds but controlled by the British Crown.
Christopher Harborne, now going by Chakrit Sakunkrit, took on this new identity in 2011 after obtaining Thai citizenship, apparently attempting to shield himself from liability related to his substantial stake in the British-American firm QinetiQ. This name change doesn’t fool us, “Chakrit.” What Englishman with any sense of pride would so easily discard his birth name?
