UK Afghanistan Declassified

Declassified UK has been covering the inquiry into alleged war crimes committed by UK special forces in Afghanistan, including the Special Air Service (SAS). The inquiry has revealed that the SAS allegedly destroyed evidence crucial to investigating the suspicious killings of unarmed Afghans, which could be seen as an attempt to obstruct justice in multiple homicide investigations.

The inquiry, set up following claims that SAS soldiers unlawfully killed more than 50 Afghans between 2010 and 2013, has also heard testimony that senior special forces officers and defense officials were so desperate to cover up SAS activities in Afghanistan that they deleted crucial data from an IT system at the "higher headquarters of special force
