GORDON BROWN'S WIFE DEFENDS DAME ANNE GLOAG AMID STAGECOACH "TRAFFICKING" CHARGE
Mrs Brown said: “Gordon and I have known Ann Gloag for many years through her huge personal commitment to Freedom from Fistula and supporting girls’ health & education.
The wife of former Prime Minister Gordon Brown and the boss of a charity supported by the Stagecoach bus tycoon Dame Ann Gloag have lent their support to the beleaguered ex-transport boss amid allegations of human trafficking.
However, Sarah Brown, wife of former Labour PM Gordon, has taken to social media to defend the transport guru as she contests the allegations. She and Dame Gloag have worked together supporting the medical charity Freedom from Fistula, which treats women in developing countries suffering from obstetric fistula
She is a remarkable campaigner and quietly generous charity supporter. These charges just don’t add up.”
Mrs Brown said: “Gordon and I have known Ann Gloag for many years through her huge personal commitment to Freedom from Fistula and supporting girls’ health & education.
Monica Boseff, the executive director of the Open Door Foundation, another charity supported by the dame, has also expressed her support for Dame Gloag. The organisation provides emergency shelter to people who are at risk of human trafficking in Eastern Europe.
