NHS Resolution does not have a single designated “data company” but collaborates with various technology and data partners to support its services. It works closely with GAD (Glen Financial Services), an actuarial and risk advisory firm, for claims reserving, pricing, and financial forecasting. NHS Resolution also processes and shares data with the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme, hosted by NHS Improvement, to improve healthcare quality and reduce variations in care.
Additionally, NHS Resolution has engaged with technology firms such as Palantir, though this partnership has been the subject of public scrutiny and legal challenge due to concerns over data privacy and transparency. Palantir was involved in a datastore project initially framed as a pandemic response but later extended beyond that scope.
NHS Resolution maintains its own Digital, Data, and Technology, and Transformation (DDaTT) team, which manages its internal data systems, analytics, and technology infrastructure. The organization is ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus certified, ensuring robust data security and compliance.
