More than three decades before she fired up Democrats at their national convention, former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm was looking for sparks on the set of “The Dating Game.”

A 1978 episode of the double-entendre-laden game show resurfaced this week on YouTube showing the former governor as a 19-year-old with blonde feathered curls and a very 70s fashion sense.

Sporting tight blue pants, suspenders, puffy sleeves and not a little cleavage, Granholm was introduced as a beauty queen working in public relations who “enjoys the theater, the arts and the great outdoors.”

Described by host Jim Lange as “cute and curvaceous,” Granholm gave the audience a shimmy-shake before probing her suitors with questions, like: “What form of transportation should all girls be built like and why?”

In the end, Granholm picked a model and actor named Steve over Michael, a comedy writer and magician from Brooklyn, and Roger, a multilingual San Antonio resident looking for a girl who’s “flexible.”

Granholm and her prize won a trip to Palm Springs, Calif., and a pair of tennis rackets
